Recognizing and responding to the needs of women and girls who have been forcibly displaced from their homes is crucial to our mission as humanitarians and development actors. The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, with dedicated goals to achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls (SDG 5) and to promote peaceful and inclusive societies (SDG 16), is a clear call to member states, UN agencies and non-governmental organizations to adopt gender responsive policies and programs in response to conflict and forced migration.en_US
