dc.description.abstractThis report highlights progress towards achieving UNICEF's ambitious targets for gender equality, as well as areas for future investment and improvement. Institutionally, UNICEF is strengthening its internal systems for accountability, with promising results. Gender parity in staffing has been achieved for the second year running, and UNICEF's overall expenditure is tagged at over 30 per cent for gender equality priorities. More offices are conducting gender analyses, including in emergencies, to inform strategic planning, and increasing numbers of senior leaders are being trained on gender equality. For these and other reasons, UNICEF has met over 88 per cent of the United Nations System-Wide Action Plan benchmarks for gender equality, outperforming most partnersen_US
