Strengthening gender equality and women’s voice (GEWV) is one of three approaches in CARE's 2020 Programme Strategy to tackle the underlying causes of poverty and social injustice, and to bring lasting change to the lives of poor and vulnerable people. The promotion of gender equality and women’s voice is a core part of how CARE works everywhere, in fragile and conflict-affected states and least developed countries, as well as in middle income countries or the Global North. The purpose of this guidance document is to provide CARE and partner staff with direction for implementing gender equality and women’s voice into their work, by explaining: the importance of GEWV for CARE. our Theory of Change. the gender standards required of all CARE offices and resources to implement these. the main models and innovations that we will scale up across the organisation. our approach to partnership.en_US
