Transforming Masculinities A training manual for Gender Champions

Abstract

This training manual by Tearfund equips ‘Gender Champions’, men and women who volunteer within communities, to lead and facilitate change with respect to sexual and gender based violence (SGBV). It provides them guidance on changing gender norms, gender equality and the role of faith in preventing SGBV.

The manual provides activities, tools and resources on working with different groups through workshops or structured small group discussions drawing on scriptural reflections on gender equality, covering themes including sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV) and how it affects communities, unequal power and privilege, and positive masculinities.
